MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS
‘’If ever there is a reason why 2swim4life needs to raise money for Young People’s Mental Health, this article says it all. James was a super, extrovert rugby player, who I had the pleasure of teaching for 2 years, when he was aged 5 and 6. He was a member of Hymers College’s Rugby team and a good friend of my youngest son.
He showed no outward sign of inner turmoil and he leaves a whole lot of shocked friends. It makes hard reading’’
Some kind words of support for 2Swim4Life from Kensington Palace.
Starting 9am Saturday 22nd April, finishing 9am Sunday 23rd April 2017, approx. 400 swimmers will be pushing their physical, mental and hypothermic boundaries to the limits, to raise money for children and families in emotional and mental distress.
Swim 1 mile, on the hour, every hour, for 24 hours.
2Swim4Life was started in 2008 and has raised over £105,000 in sponsorship during its history.
At our last event in 2015 we raised £34,000
